Staff Software Database Engineer A10 Networks

As a Staff or Principal Software Engineer, you will contribute to the advancement of A10 Networks award winning products. Your responsibilities include designing and enhancing network database and reporting applications, and providing high quality software implementations. You will participate in design, code and test plan reviews and interact with cross functional teams. You will become the technical expert and leader for database and reporting technologies. Part of the job may involve providing assistance to technical support teams on an as needed basis and mentoring junior engineers. Investigation, research and proof of concept projects will also be part of your responsibilities.Required Skills:
Minimum 8 years of experience with database systems programming
Minimum 2 years of experience leading small project teams
Minimum 4 years of experience working with open source data base systems such as MySQL, Postgres, or SQLite
Minimum 5 years of experience with C and Linux
Experience designing database schemas for very large, real time data sets in a networking environment
Experience with optimizing database search, read and write performance
Experience in multi-threading, multi-core, and real-time high availability embedded systems
Experience generating reports using graphical charts and tabular data
Strong understanding of network technologies and protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, SNMP, SYSLOG, etc.
Experience programming with one scripting language: shell, perl, tcl, python, etc.
Bachelor's degrees in computer science, engineering, physics, or math
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IPv6
Experience with packet and protocol analysis
Experience processing and archiving of large quantities of data
Experience programming for high scalability and performance
Familiar with Netflow or Sflow.
Masters or PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, or math
