Composite is looking for a Staff Software Engineer with considerable experience in Microsoft Desktop Application development. We?d like your help designing and developing a new Windows application for an important project using C# and XPF/XAML.
A successful candidate will have experience in other development platforms, or be open to learn, because our team members have a variety of responsibilities. It?s an excellent opportunity to expand your skill set, as you are joining a team of talented engineers to provide user interfaces for a world-class data federation and virtualization product. We have existing user interfaces written with Java Swing, Google Web Toolkit and Adobe Flex. You?ll be our expert in Windows application development and have opportunities to increase your depth in Java and learn how enterprise-level data virtualization is done. Our customers are some of the biggest companies in the world.
Required Skills
10+ years programming experience
5+ years of Windows application development experience
3+ years of C# experience
Familiarity with Visual Studio 2012
Strong object-oriented background and a sense of visual style
Experience with revision control systems (Subversion and Git preferred)
Computer Science degree or equivalent (BS, MS, PHD)
Desirable Skills
Experience with Java, Google Web Toolkit or Adobe Flex
Familiarity with SQL and XML concepts
Knowledge of build systems such as ant and MAVIS
Familiarity with Agile software development
