Position Summary:
The Analytics Manager role in the Research and Analytics Team is responsible for the development and implementation of custom research studies that involve the use of various study designs and statistical analyses to measure the effectiveness of online advertising in achieving client?s marketing goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following but other duties may be assigned:
Consult with internal and external clients on analytics needs and custom analytics capabilities; interpret client issues and recommend best-in-industry solutions
Design, develop and implement research studies that measure the online and offline impact of advertising on client?s marketing goal
Liaise with external research agencies and data source suppliers; involvement in research agency recruitment, contracts and overall relationship development
Coordinate with various internal teams for proper campaign execution to support associated research studies
Oversee all data-related aspects of project execution (e.g. quality control assurance from fielding through report delivery)
Literate in all relevant research tools and data mining for gathering necessary data
Perform advanced data analysis, including various statistical tests, data segmentation and modelling, in order to provide meaningful insights
Translate complex analytics methodologies and analyses into well-structured and simple to understand presentations and recommendations; present findings to clients
Manage multiple projects at one time ensuring timely and accurate deliverables to clients
Oversee a team of research analysts for the execution of research projects
Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience in campaign performance evaluation or other similar analytic roles
Expertise in developing, pitching, and managing research studies with a proven track record of using analytics to create innovative solutions for business problems
Must possess analytical skills to evaluate, understand and interpret data from both internal and client perspective
Must be able to communicate ideas and analysis results effectively, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to decipher rich insight, solve problems and deliver creative presentations
Strong ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with internal / external clients and vendors
Proven experience in a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods and techniques
Ability to anticipate challenges related to study design and to proactively communicate potential solutions
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at any given time; Ability to meet established deadlines is critical
Ability to work collaboratively with others within and outside of department
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Strong working knowledge of statistics; Experience with statistical software such as SAS and SPSS a must
Experience with data mining, database, MySQL, or Tableau preferred
Experience measuring advertising effectiveness beyond traditional metrics preferred
Experience with syndicated data sources such as Nielsen and comScore preferred
Strong understanding of current Internet, mobile, TV and new technological developments
Knowledge of online advertising industry a plus
Bachelors or Graduate degree in statistics or related quantitative field preferred (e.g. business, economics, social sciences, statistics, mathematics)
May require minimum travel
