DescriptionPOSITION DUTIES:
Responsible for ensuring the SAS programs that perform statistical data analysis in support of our clinical trials are developed according to the standards of the company and regulatory bodies. Utilize statistical analysis and modeling to develop SAS programs that collect, summarize and analyze extensive clinical data. Develop SAS programs to transfer data from an operational database to SAS datasets that conform to CDISC-SDTM specifications. Develop SAS programs to review and assess the quality of clinical trial data and to produce patient data listings, summary tables and figures. Participate in the review and validation of existing SAS programs. Participate in the Statistical Programming review of Case Report Forms, database structures, and study-related documentation such as data validation guidelines. Prepare Statistical Analysis Plans by drafting the specifications for tables, listings and groups. Work with Principal SAS Programmer to document database specifications. Assist with ad hoc requests for data analyses and with the statistical analyses specified in the Statistical Analysis Plan. Perform quality control activities for various documents that present clinical trial results.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-- Master's degree in biology, statistics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or a closely-related field, or the foreign degree equivalent;
-- 2 years of experience in the following: a) SAS statistical programming, including use of base SAS, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/STAT, SAS/ODS, the SAS macro language, and SAS/Access to extract data from sources other than SAS, including Excel and Oracle; and b) programming with clinical trials data, including using SAS to create datasets to produce data listings, summary tables, and figures for statistical data analysis. Also requires some experience with creating datasets conforming to CDISC SDTM specifications and producing data listings and summary tables for inclusion in regulatory submissions. SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9. Experience can be gained concurrently.
