The Storage/Backup Administrator is responsible for maintaining enterprise level storage infrastructure, NetApp, IBM, EMC devices, fiber channel switches, tape libraries, Linux servers, and various backup software including TSM, Backup Exec, and Veeam. A successful candidate will have 2+ years? experience in enterprise level storage administration. A strong background in Unix/Linux and Perl scripting is a plus.
Deploy, manage and support NetApp, IBM, EMC storage infrastructures
Design, troubleshoot, and support enterprise backup environment
Part of an on-call 7x24 support rotation
Write programs to automate tasks as needed.
SAN provisioning including zoning and masking
Set up and maintain replication and cloning, including basic scripting
SAN switch management and configuration
Migration of data to new arrays
Maintain documentation of storage allocations for all arrays
Troubleshoot SAN connectivity issues
Performance and capacity monitoring of SAN switches, arrays, SSDs, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum 3 years? experience with EMC technology- clustering/HA, snapshots, etc.
Minimum 2 years? experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 in an enterprise environment
Storage management skills- SAN, fiber channel, zoning, etc.
Experience in managing and troubleshooting shared storage tape libraries
Working knowledge of DNS, NIS, & NFS.
NICE TO HAVE:
Minimum 2 years? experience with Unix/Linux in an enterprise environment.
Experience with NetApp or IBM technologies.
Experience with backups, TSM, and NBU
