This senior delivery role at GlassHouse will bring value to the company by developing strategies and executing key tasks that directly contribute to services development, sales and delivery standards for our Storage service area.
The Storage Practice Leader will be part of our North America Consulting Team, reporting into the Director of Service Management. Ideal candidate will have a technical background in design, implementation, and operations of data protection solutions in enterprises of all sizes. Core competencies will include translating complex technical issues into practical solutions, strategic design and implementation of storage and backup infrastructure, articulation and documenting of complex technical concepts, and providing customer relationship management with the technical expertise required to accurately design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level storage solutions.
Extensive professional services experience within infrastructure services, as well as previous sales, and engagement management experience at the Director-level or above is expected.
RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure consistent delivery of solutions, high quality results and satisfied clients
Define/evolve competency services (including competency tools, collateral and benchmarks) for data center practice
Develop tools to facilitate service delivery
Create communications & roll out plan for competency services and tools
Design training plan as needed; train and coach others to ensure consulting and sales resources are aware of services, tools and methodologies
Ensure knowledge transfer and contribution of best practices across the organization
Lead workshops, solutions sessions and service delivery to clients
Develop proposals. statements of work and levels of effort for fixed price, T&M projects
Validate and approve levels of effort for engagements in the Storage practice area
Participate in industry thought leadership via publishing articles and presenting at conferences and trade shows.
Provide overall guidance and support for: negotiations, solution development, solution delivery, creation of value-added solutions that help transform the clients way of doing business
Serve as an example for others to follow by embodying the company?s culture, values and pursuit of success
Lead the Storage affinity group to nurture and develop talent and career progression
Successfully fulfill client relationship development and expansion role/transition business
QUALIFICATIONS
Established experience developing tools, methodologies and processes for consistent service development
Extensive experience defining, developing and executing new service offerings and go-to market strategies for such offerings
Management and Leadership skills; ability to coach, mentor and train others
Progressive experience leading and managing large client engagements as program manager and/or client manager
Progressive experience consulting to enterprise businesses across a variety of industry verticals.
Analyzing current and future needs for Storage/Operations environments
Assisting clients with multi-million dollar data protection strategies; developing and documenting the Storage strategy for an environment; identifying issues, documenting data protection requirements, completing gap analysis between current capabilities and desired state, implementing roadmaps for new technologies and strategy
Evaluating and architecting operations, policies, and procedures to drive strategic storage, SAN, and backup initiatives
Evaluating customers strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions
Providing hands-on execution of technical rationalization, optimization, consolidation and/or relocation activities for large geographically distributed enterprises
Contracts Negotiation & Execution Experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering; MBA preferred
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 12 years of experience leading workshops and solution sessions, and delivering complex professional services engagements with a focus on data center services and technologies
Extensive experience providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) knowledge in the Storage service area; and able to solve complex technical and business issues related to this field
Ability to interface with a diverse group of people, excellent written and oral skills, demonstrated problem solving skills/exceptional judgment and ability to sell, deliver and oversee work to high client satisfaction levels
Extensive experience with Storage operational technologies including architecture, design, implementation and management
Requires proven track record for selling and delivering both solutions and services in data center space
Experience presenting and selling to Senior Management/C-Level
Solid ability to disseminate engagement opportunities to align with our GlassHouse capabilities and to also identify win-themes and strategies to secure new business
ITIL experience; certification preferred
Ability to travel up to 75%
