A Strategic Partnership Manager is a key member of ChannelAdvisor?s business development team. The BD team is responsible driving direct and indirect revenue and bookings growth for ChannelAdvisor by forging and developing strategic partnerships with third-parties.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role will be smart, aggressive, entrepreneurial, and personable ? with a clear passion for building new things and execution. The day-to-day tasks in this role will be largely un-structured ? so the candidate must be self-driven, and able to build out and execute on a plan of action.
Manage the overall relationship with Strategic Partners
Build out the ChannelAdvisor partner program by adding structure, and signing and developing key partnerships in strategic segments based on a quarterly plan.
Depending on the type of partner, relationship management will include a mix of the following:
Managing the ongoing business relationship with key partners. This will cover all aspects of the relationship, and will require working with many departments at ChannelAdvsior including sales, product management, engineering, finance, support and marketing.
Managing the launch process for a new partner - including expectation management, project management, and coordination between the partner and the ChannelAdvisor technical, launch or services team.
Working with the ChannelAdvisor sales team to educate them on partner offerings, and to line up appropriate sellers to engage with each partner.
Working to build out internal resources that keep all relevant parties up to date on partnership status and activity.
Develop and manage quarterly partnership plans
Working with partners to coordinate joint marketing activity, in collaboration with the ChannelAdvisor marketing team
Maximizing the ChannelAdvisor revenue that is driven by the partnership
Working to resolve any partner-related issues that arise across every department at ChannelAdvisor - including sales, support, marketing, finance, engineering, product management and legal.
BS or BA degree preferred
Previous account or partner management or consulting experience in the software industry, retail or related industry is preferred
Experience working with large enterprise customers is preferred
Proficiency using Excel and MS Office applications
Basic financial analysis skills in order to be able to project revenue and create scenario models in Excel
Comfort with web-based applications
At least 5 years work history with a minimum of 2 years in a related (software, internet or e-commerce) position
A strong customer service orientation and the ability to form long-term partner relationships
A can-do attitude and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally to accomplish goals
