Primary Objective of Position:
Strategic Program Managers are the key factor to our clients? satisfaction with our program. They are responsible for taking over the sales process once an initial Pilot Program is in place and successfully ushering the client through the process; ensuring the client experiences the true value of the program and SmartDrive captures the rest of the client?s business.
As you can imagine, the candidates we select will possess a mixture of sales, consulting and analytical project management skills with a strong desire to do everything it takes to make the client successful! Strong account management experience is a must.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads improvement to business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development and implementation of client service contracts.
Anticipates and recognizes upcoming objections and takes proactive and preemptive actions.
May assist in the preparation of sales forecasts, quotes or negotiations.
Quickly assessing client requirements to determine their unique objectives and goals with the SmartDrive program and tailoring an approach that fits them.
Managing and maintaining the client relationship including reaching out to the client with suggestions and follow up on the use of the program to increase driver safety.
Developing and managing project plans based on the client needs and ensuring the program milestones and objectives are being met.
Acting as the Client advocate within SmartDrive and working with internal teams on client needs, future enhancements and to solve any issues that arise.
Ensuring proper training of client leaders as well as effective adoption of program, and positive progress, including driver coaching.
Developing and delivering professional, effective presentations, program reviews and training to all levels within the client organization, including executives/key decision makers
Analyzing data and presenting rational, coherent and well developed solutions to client requests, at times before the client makes the request!
Managing the communication and internal coordination of the support infrastructure for assigned accounts across a variety of departments who have many things competing for their attention.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
BA/BS required with a Graduate degree a plus.
Minimum 7 years of successful account management and proven sales experience in a large account environment.
Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 50-70%
Success in managed services, trucking and fleet industry experience is highly preferred.
Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers.
Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and analyze it in order to effectively provide solutions to client.
Ability to expand existing account relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels within an organization.
Ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge and a track record of working effectively with technical and business functions.
Demonstrated success, with specific examples, managing complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong consulting, analysis, design and presentation skills.
