?The goal of the Strategic Sales Director Role is to use best-in-class business insights, cutting-edge research, data and analytics to create a leadership position for PlayNetwork in the media marketplace. Our ultimate goal: Move PlayNetwork from the position of media vendor to strategic partner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Excellent consultative sales skills in defining need analysis, qualification and presenting value proposition.
Ability to proactively prospect, identify, and qualify sales opportunities, as well as conduct all aspects of negotiation and closure.
Proven hunter-sales mentality and approach.
Strong pipeline management skills.
Proven track record of developing tailored presentations and presenting to business leaders.
Stewardship of positioning/sales collateral and go-to-market messaging, relative to marketplace trends and competitive pressures.
Scouting, evaluation, analysis and on-boarding of key strategic research/targeting/data partners.
Development of thought leadership, first mover research and client business case studies.
Stewardship of solutions-led RFP responses and new business pitches for major clients - grounded in insights and superior strategic nous.
Stewardship of campaign insights and key learning. Ability to translate complex results into easily understood reports & business insights.
8+ years of related sales experience with focus on new business development.
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or Management.
5+ years? experience in media strategy or planning role.
Experience in calling into corporations and navigating through personnel to gain access to decision makers.
Track record of year over year quota achievement.
Experience with Salesforce.com or CRM application.
Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook.
Experience in selling Digital, Media and Sound Systems preferred.
Must have experience developing sophisticated strategy, research & reporting plans.
