Strategic Sourcing/Auctions Consultant Moai Technologies
Moai, a leader in e-Sourcing products, services and solutions, has just launched a new initiative called OnDemandSourcing targeted at mid-size companies. OnDemandSourcing is a web-hosted solution, that delivers the power and flexibility of e-Sourcing at a low, fixed cost without impacting a companys IT infrastructure. Customers can conduct sourcing events and auctions on-line with no capital investment and very little training while realizing significant cycle time and cost savings.We have an immediate opening for a Strategic Sourcing/Auctions Consultant with prior successful consulting experience with a variety of commodities, both direct and indirect. Must be able to work with multiple levels of organization at a client and possess strong account relationship management skills. Must be able to quickly learn the Moai e-Sourcing suite and OnDemandSourcing solution.
Requirements:
Pre-Sales:
Conduct demonstrations of CompleteSource & OnDemandSourcing products
Respond to proposals and RFIs
Provide sales support to the sales team
Participate in pipeline reviews
Post-Sales:
Lead collaborative, bid strategy discussions to facilitate selection of appropriate categories for each project
Lead the overall preparation and follow-up of one or more auctions simultaneously
Manage team members and clients to ensure that project milestones are met
Design and coordinate sourcing events and projects
Develop strategies and help ensure that participants are properly selected and prepared
Help buyers assess results and make decisions
Be responsible for client satisfaction and service delivery
Prepare post event analysis
Provide training on sourcing strategies to customers and suppliers.
Work with other organizations within Moai to evolve the best practices and methodologies for Moais products.
Provide input to the product planning process
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3 years experience with a sourcing consulting organization
2 years of Project Management experience
Business and system analyst experience, including process knowledge in the areas of strategic sourcing, is a requirement
Background and familiarity with technology including application architectures, operating platforms and database
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership ability and problem solving aptitude
Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to work in start-up environment
Bachelors degree in CS, EE, Business Management or equivalent
Limited travel 10 of time
