Strategy and Insights Manager (Bilingual) CafeMom
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED CafeMom is looking for a strategic thinker and problem solver responsible for the critical functions of supporting our advertising partners and new monetization efforts. Reporting to the VP, Sales Strategy & Marketing, the Strategy and Insights Manager will play a key role on the sales strategy team leading the insights effort and contributing to strategic initiatives that will help grow the business.
The Strategy and Insights Manager will generate insight from online conversation, on both our general market site (CafeMom) and Hispanic market site (MamasLatinas). This analyst will have a passion for telling stories with data and experience integrating qualitative and quantitative sources of information. He/she will be able to delve into conversational detail, extract key themes using a variety of tools from Google search to text analytics software, design programming to reinforce these themes, and effectively communicate overall findings to our sponsor partners.
In addition, this person will contribute to a wide range of strategic initiatives across the company, such as business development efforts and advertising product strategy, and cover everything from initial strategy formulation to ongoing operational support. In all cases, this role will require strategic, and analytic, and independent thinking.
Ideal candidates will have intellectual curiosity, problem-solving orientation, the ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative analytical thinking. This is a great opportunity for an analyst to own the insights function and be involved with larger strategic projects on an ongoing basis. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Analyze social conversations to extract insights and trends, work with our community team to design follow-up programming, and package findings for internal and external audiences
Develop and interpret quantitative analyses to support conversational findings
Prepare regular and ad-hoc insights reports, using text analytics systems as well as manual tagging and analysis of conversation and use this information to prepare client-ready reports
Assist in the maintenance and development of our conversational insight database
Create comprehensive program updates and wrap decks that highlight campaign objectives, elements, performance, qualitative user engagement and overall value delivered
Work closely with the VP, Sales Strategy & Marketing on projects as assigned
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in online media, market research, or social science. Strategy and/or digital media agency experience a plus
Ability to integrate information across multiple sources, draw conclusions, and present results/implications both verbally and in writing to non-technical audiences
Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
Strong Excel user (e.g. charts, formulas, pivot tables), working knowledge of PowerPoint, and familiarity with databases (Access / SQL) is a plus
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter -- ability to set priorities and work independently in a fast paced, lightly-structured environment. Can-do attitude important!
Fluent Spanish required - reading and developing insight from Spanish-language user posts will be a key job requirement
