As a Strategy Director, you will play a leadership role driving online marketing strategy and account planning across a variety of client verticals. As a key partner to the Client Services, Creative and Technology groups, you will ensure that all plans are delivered on time and in support of the brand, while developing objectives, strategies, and tactics that drive growth. You will add your unique experience and insight to business and customer objectives, helping our clients maximize customer engagement, sales leads, and long-term loyalty.
You?ll provide thought leadership to clients by using market research and competitive trends to generate insights that inform actionable strategic recommendations. You will also collaborate with creative, media, and technology teams to build a robust marketing strategy and plan for clients, as well as leads at partner agencies and technology providers, to ensure the viability of ideas and concepts. You will also lead strategy projects, working closely with other Strategy team members. Finally, you will work with Business Development and other discipline leads to serve as the strategy lead to support new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Developing communications and brand strategies based on research with consumers, the marketplace, cultural trends and media innovations
Supports Account Directors in long and short term account planning (growth, investment, resourcing, etc.)
Determines optimal online channel strategies aimed at meeting clients? business and marketing objectives
Helps clients allocate online marketing budgets and develops online marketing plans across all online channels, including media, email, website, mobile, and social media
Evaluates and analyzes program results and presents recommendations for changes in strategy
Leverages metrics and research where appropriate to define and track performance against goals mapped to client objectives and targets, adjusting as new data comes in
Maintains a deep and broad understanding of the client?s financial, strategic and marketing imperatives, product and service roadmap, and competitive dynamics in the marketplace
Surfaces new online marketing ideas and tactics to drive growth and collaborate with iCrossing and client teams to test value and ability to execute
Coaches, develops and mentors junior team members
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience, is required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
6+ years of business environment specifically in Marketing, Advertising, Management Consulting, or Interactive Marketing
Minimum 5 years online marketing experience is required.
Demonstrated understanding of online marketing strategy and tactics
Experience with development and management of marketing budget and planning desired
Marketing experience across various channels and multiple disciplines of marketing (e.g., online, print, direct, event, creative) a plus
Working knowledge of online media planning and CRM a plus
Strong interpersonal abilities to work with all online marketing disciplines and teams as well as external vendors and agency partners
Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and to work well under pressure
Takes independent actions and calculated risks
Proven track record of digesting data and deriving insights that lead to actionable recommendations and uses intuition and experience to complement data
Strong understanding and user of Web 2.0 technologies and trends and how to leverage for client success
Strong written, oral communication, presentation skills, and cross-functional leadership skills in a heavy client-facing capacity
Proficient in Excel and Word, and PowerPoint ?power user?
