Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Transaction Systems Security Digital Signal
Job Description :
The Subject Matter Expert? Transaction Systems Security is responsible for the research, analysis and recommendation of transaction systems security related programs for DSC?s global customers, thus facilitating implementation of the company?s products, services and policies. This SME also provides support for DSC?s overall business plan of achieving sales and profit objectives and providing exceptional customer service. Depending on the successful candidate?s qualifications, the role will be at the Director or Manager level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with DSC leadership and customers to design and conduct highly sensitive programs.
Makes recommendations in the development of procedures, processes and products.
Maintains constant and thorough industry knowledge and up-to-date understanding of trends
Coordinates activities and reports statuses in support of DSC objectives.
Maintains extensive network of contacts
Coordinate involvement of overlapping functional organizations that touch on security (IT, privacy, marketing, legal, etc.).
Early identification and reporting of functional overlaps and conflicts in security program management worldwide.
Identification of security best practices.
Creation of status assessment tools and ongoing monitoring of security compliance.
Interface and communicate regularly with appropriate levels of DSC management
Create novel and sustainable processes
Create policy-derived guidance documents
Build positive business relationships both within and outside of the corporation
Represent DSC at industry standards meetings, consortiums, and other forums that develop next generation security enhancements
Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge of Transaction Processing Systems (TPS) used to move funds intra or interbank; ACH, Wire Transfer, etc., as well as e-commerce electronic payments
Understanding of cyber organized criminal groups, digital currencies, and electronic crimes as they relate to electronic fraud
Strong investigative instincts along with a background in financial investigations
Thorough understanding of industry data security trends and standards related to electronic payments
Strong knowledge of computers and general data processing
Ability to identify control gaps and recommend remediation on a regular basis
Must have excellent communications, strong strategic skills, sound business judgment, and proven consultative skills with all levels of management
Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written
Must be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
Ability to travel at least 25% of the time both domestically and internationally and in some cases with limited notice.
Security and privacy certification highly preferred.
Experience with advanced surveillance systems (biometrics, facial, fingerprint, and/or iris recognition) highly preferred.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc.; occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs
Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time
Individual?s primary workstation is located in an office area
