Duties:The individual in this role will analyze a body of work performed at Allconnect by distinct workgroups, initially the I.T. Production Support team, for the purpose of 1.) ensuring resources are applied against their highest and best use and 2.) improving the productivity, utilization, and effectiveness of the workgroup.
1.Observe and understand the work tasks in which the team is engaged and how work gets accomplished
2.Discover and understand the processes surrounding the work, such as how work arrives, how it is prioritized, how it is assigned, how success is measured, how it is managed, etc
3.Discover and understand the objectives of the team and the various roles on the team
4.Create a methodology to measure the value created by the work group; apply that methodology to measure the value created
5.Critically analyze the work processes themselves as well as the processes surrounding the work. "Is it effective? Does it accomplish the objectives? Is it efficient? How can processes be improved to better utilize resources? Are there processes upstream that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team? Is the team being applied to their highest and best use? If not, what would that be?"
6.Validate findings and develop recommendations which may include new process design. Present recommendations to group managers, and executives as needed
7.(Potentially) Assist in implementing recommendations
Qualifications:?Rising junior or senior in college
?Minimum 3.0 GPA
? Industrial Engineering major is preferred, but other undergrad majors would be considered
?Able to work 40 hours per week
?Proficient in Microsoft Office
?Desire to learn in a fast paced environment
?Strong organizational skills
?Exceptional follow-through and ability to juggle multiple projects
?Interactive listening required
?Excellent verbal and written communication
?Team-oriented with demonstrated self-motivation
