Summer Internship: CRM/Loyalty Marketing (Academic Credit Only) Gilt Groupe
Gilt Groupe is looking for excited, passionate and hard-working interns for our Summer Intern Program! We will be bringing in a group of students across all parts of the business to gain experience in our fast-paced luxury e-commerce organization to join our fantastic teams for 10 weeks. To be considered, you must provide a resume and a cover letter answering the question 'Why Gilt?' and outlining your areas of interest. You must also be able to participate for the entirety of the program and provide a letter of credit for your college or university. This is an unpaid, for academic credit only internship.
The intern will be responsible for developing a recommendation for how Gilt should (or should not) have its own private label credit card.
Project details:
Scope out the opportunity for a Gilt co-branded / private label credit card that provides members with access to exclusive benefits while creating an additional switch cost and therefore enticing loyalty and increased sales
Assess credit card integration within Gilt?s Insider loyalty program
Perform a competitive analysis to understand how Gilt competitors are leveraging co-branded and / or private label credit cards in their loyalty practices
Identify potential card issuing partners (banks / credit card association)
Modeled financials to support recommendation
Qualifications:
Possess outstanding analytical and methodical problem-solving skills with proven ability to turn data into actionable initiatives that can be implemented
Extremely methodical thought process ? s/he will define, communicate, and execute clear integration and recommendation requirements
Possess a hunger for solutions and results, and drive for continuous improvement
Demonstrates excellent judgment and organizational ability
Have a high degree of intellectual curiosity about the psychology of consumer behavior
Strong interpersonal skills ? able to and enjoys working across multiple business units and functional areas to achieve goals
Coursework in business, marketing, economics, statistics, psychology or related field required
Key evaluation will be two presentations of work completed:
Mid-point presentation to Vice President of Marketing outlining approach and expected results
Final presentation to Sr. VP of Marketing & CMO, sharing results, key learning and recommendations for future actions
Additional methods along the way will include:
Weekly 1:1 check-ins with various marketing leadership
