Summer Internship: Legal Intern (Law Students Only) Gilt Groupe

Gilt Groupe is looking for excited, passionate and hard-working interns for our Summer Intern Program! We will be bringing in a group of students across all parts of the business to gain experience in our fast-paced luxury e-commerce organization to join our fantastic teams for 10 weeks. To be considered, you must provide a resume and a cover letter answering the question 'Why Gilt?' and outlining your areas of interest. You must also be able to participate for the entirety of the program and provide a letter of credit for your college or university. This is an unpaid, for academic credit only internship.
Gilt's top-notch legal team seeks an intern who has completed at least 1 year of law school to join us for the summer. This is a fantastic opportunity to get insight into the daily operations of being an in-house lawyer at an exciting e-commerce organization.
The Legal internship will include the following:
-- Conduct legal research on all aspects of commercial, securities and consumer law
-- Assist in contract review and data entry or contract management system
-- Assist in drafting operational agreements, including vendor, consulting and other commercial contracts
-- Assist with any IPO preparation, on a discreet project-by-project basis
-- Review form agreements against 'model' contracts for possible revision
-- Assist in drafting sweepstakes and contest rules, and promotional terms and conditions.
Intern should have the following experience and skills:
-- Currently enrolled law school student, with at least one year of law school completed
-- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
-- Ability to be detail oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills
-- Strong desire to learn about business and function within the legal team
-- Ability to prioritize and manage workload, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
