Summer Internship: Production Intern (Academic Credit Only) Gilt Groupe

Gilt Groupe is looking for excited, passionate and hard-working interns for our Summer Intern Program! We will be bringing in a group of students across all parts of the business to gain experience in our fast-paced luxury e-commerce organization to join our fantastic teams for 10 weeks. To be considered, you must provide a resume and a cover letter answering the question 'Why Gilt?' and outlining your areas of interest. You must also be able to participate for the entirety of the program and provide a letter of credit for your college or university. This is an unpaid, for academic credit only internship.Under the direction of the Executive Producer and in collaboration with the Creative Department and producers, the production intern is responsible for providing production support for daily Gilt Sale Photo shoots and other special initiatives as they arise.
Responsibilities:
- prepping call sheets
- managing daily catering (eg. taking headcount, placing orders, giving feedback to catering partners)
- coordinating transportation for models and crew
- assisting the Booking Manager with model contracts and casting-related tasks (eg. drafting contracts
and liaising with agents, requesting model packages, organizing/filing model cards, ect.)
- managing talent reviews (collecting availability, coordinating meetings, tracking and organizing
portfolios)
- maintaining the production office environment (eg. restocking supplies, watering plants, feeding office pet)
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Highly organized, efficient and resourceful; Must be a self-starter
- Production at Gilt is executed in an extremely short time frame; a sense of urgency and prioritizing
skills are essential
- A strong background and/or interest in both photography and production preferred
