Gilt Groupe is looking for excited, passionate and hard-working interns for our Summer Intern Program! We will be bringing in a group of students across all parts of the business to gain experience in our fast-paced luxury e-commerce organization to join our fantastic teams for 10 weeks. To be considered, you must provide a resume and a cover letter answering the question 'Why Gilt?' and outlining your areas of interest. You must also be able to participate for the entirety of the program and provide a letter of credit for your college or university. This is an unpaid, for academic credit only internship.Our Women's Private Label team is in search of a motivated, organized and analytical summer buying intern! You can expect to:
Assist the buying office with administrative, product and technical tasks pertaining to sale event
preparation
Oversee the collection of detailed and accurate product information for each sale
Partner with warehouse-based staff and vendors to track and manage market, photo shoot, and editorial
samples
Assist the Buying Office with PO entry and maintenance
Generate sell-thru reports and assist with market preparation via adhoc report creation
Attend market as appropriate
Review and manage swatches, lab-dips, & fit samples and communicate approvals & comments to
vendors
Create mood & trend boards
Keep an accurate record of comp style screen shots from online marketplace for pricing validation
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented and conscientious
Ability to remain flexible and work independently
Self-starter, ambitious in nature
Knowledgeable - proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to communicate effectively
General knowledge of apparel terms and fabrications
Exposure to retail math and analyzing data
3.0 or above GPA
