DescriptionAnnounce Media's Summer Internship Program
This is a paid spring/summer program designed to provide selected students with an opportunity to integrate higher-level academic theory and principles with strategic business initiatives at one of the hottest Internet startups in the country. Additionally, Interns will attend presentations by Announce Media staff and Executives, and may participate in the Divisional speaker series. This experience will give participants the opportunity to expand their skill set and participate in the development of high traffic web projects.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens pursuing a graduate, or undergraduate degree at any college or university in Missouri (or approved by USCIS to earn benefit in USA) Students must be in good standing, and have either work experience or academic coursework relevant to the placement. Eligible students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Internships are available in the areas of:
Corporate Development / M&A:
Potential partner evaluation
Internet Product Management:
Create Product Requirement Documents for full site redesigns.
Evaluate company's websites and brainstorm ideas for improving usability.
Devise improvements to current social media strategies.
Analyze competing web sites for design/functionality.
Web Content / Copy / Publishing:
Scan media for news items; create regularly scheduled updates to sites.
Supervise/review the work of site contributors.
Web Design:
Use Photoshop to redesign existing web properties.
Add additional functionality and richer content to improve overall user experience.
Work with front development team to ensure design accuracy and completion.
Knowledge of CSS and HTML a plus.
Software Engineering/PHP Web Development:
Develop code for high traffic web sites and social applications.
Develop tools to support the vital business activities of the company.
Announce Media will work individually with students to ensure the most appropriate areas of placement.
