Do you understand the new home builder procurement process and have strong relationships with new home builder VP of Operations and Division Presidents? Are you looking to leverage your understanding of new home builder needs to sell them the top-of-the-line solar service-- a product they are just realizing will soon become a standard offering in their communities? Sunrun has a special position for the right person with strong sales and sales support skills, market foresight and wherewithal to lead our new home builder sales efforts. Our Business Development team has redesigned its new home solar product and is already seeing strong success in the new home markets first to recover from the housing crisis. We are looking for the right person who understands solar and new home builders to take this product and grow it nationally.
The New Home Sales Representative will use their strong contacts and self-starter sales skills to grow Sunrun?s market share. The Sales Representative will have the ?always-on? mentality of the clean tech start-up company coupled with savvy sales skills and personal drive to navigate the old-school builder world. Responsibilities
?Meet or exceed sales targets
?Identify new targets to pitch Sunrun?s solar service
oTailor our offering to the builders market segment and buyer demographic
?Help builders see the value in including a prepaid solar service with their new home offering
?Work with our installer base to develop pricing and builder confidence in our ability to fulfill their need without slowing down the build cycle
?Support the role out of the builders solar offering by providing light training, sales support, and facilitating the creation of the appropriate marketing material
?Negotiate contracts
?Support the channels compliance with Sunrun?s internal operational requirements
?Track factors impacting the price of our service
?Run quarterly forecast and fulfillment meetings with existing customers and Sunrun?s pricing and finance department
?Grow accounts from community to region to national scope
Requirements
?Detail oriented individual ready for a fast-paced, always-on, dynamic start-up environment
?Excellent sales and negotiation skills
?Ability to develop and present business cases and show evidence of previous success in product and/or services innovation, development, and fulfillment
?3 years? experience selling solar and/or selling into the builder market
?Excellent communication and sales support skills are essential
?Expert in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
?Roughly 40% travel time
?Detailed understanding of builder networks, needs and procurement processes
