THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Purpose or Objective Of Position:
Manage, control and monitor the activities and personnel involved in the multiple functions of materials management and procurement, warehousing, inventory control, receiving and shipping/delivery, while complying with all requirements of internal and external customers, the facility?s quality system, and state and federal laws.
Apply an advanced knowledge of supply chain and logistics management and draw upon substantial experience and training to identify and/or solve highly complex business problems.
Develop, implement, and sustain supply chain management policies that effectively meet customer demands and pharmacy financial goals.
Ability to manage and report upon the performance of the organization regarding inventory in terms of operational objectives and goals of the company.
Manages inventory and develop strategies to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining established inventory levels to support business objectives.
Oversee the scheduling of components and materials from outside suppliers in order to ensure that customer schedules are met, production is not interrupted due to stock-outs and inventory is kept at optimal levels.
Monitor pharmacy outputs and capacities in relation to daily inventory levels and communicate throughout the organization as required to insure sufficient capacities and levels are available to deliver scheduled product.
Manages the operational processes and procedures in relation to the organization of inventory and fulfillment.
Participate in the monitoring of the performance of all reporting systems (ie: databases, performance metrics, etc.) and proactively participate in new system development by identifying system limitations and recommending and leading alternative actions.
Increase the productive capacity of the working groups by initiating new ideas, processes and systems.
Implement world-class systems of part of pharmacy operations planning and delivery management.
Understand, comply with and implement the policies of Quality, Safety, Health and Environment and those that apply to the Company.
Consistent and predictable attendance.
Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education Needed To Do The Job:
BS or BA in Business, Operations or Materials/Supply Chain required.
5 + years proven experience in related area of materials / logistics.
Solid knowledge in inventory management systems and controls. Working knowledge of MRP systems is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relations of cooperation and communication with staff at all levels.
APICS certification preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and inventory programs.
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
Leadership and team work.
Excellent English verbal and written communication.
General warehouse and office conditions.
Management or Executive Authority:
Authority to hire, train, and discipline, coach and mentor direct reports.
Responsibility for direct reports.
Responsibility for production inventory control processes and guidelines, and to ensure that these processes are followed.
