Supply Chain Manager Ekos

Develop and lead a world-class supply chain to manufacture EKOS?s products and achieve strategic business
objectives. Includes management and optimization of overall supply chain including, planning,
procurement, receiving, material handling, inventory control, and distribution. Responsible for supplier
selection and approval, management of the Approved Supplier List (ASL), and oversight of OEM suppliers
and service providers.
Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and material control systems to meet
corporate requirements, mitigate risks, and achieve financial goals.
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
? Implement and monitor systems for demand planning which include: ERP system, Master Planning
and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
? Manage all aspects of supply chain including: strategic sourcing, supplier selection, procurement,
inventory management (Raw, WIP, FG), warehousing, and supplier performance monitoring.
Implement strategies to ensure supply chain is capable of scaling to meet future production
? Optimize existing and create new departmental procedures to assure ?best practices? and assure
compliance to departmental policies and Quality Systems. Perform training to procedures as
? Participate as key Material Review Board (MRB) member to resolve Non-Conforming Material
Reports (NCRs) in a timely manner and minimize impact to production. Drive Supplier Corrective
Actions (SCAPAs) to closure, as needed, to address supplier issues identified.
? Refine EKOS? cycle count and physical inventory procedures to improve data integrity and assure
compliance with BTG Financial Internal Control Manual.
? Define, measure, trend and report key supply chain metrics to EKOS Management and Operations
? Initiate and conduct annual Performance Reviews with strategic suppliers, at a minimum. Generate
reports, as appropriate, to communicate supplier metrics to management and Operations team.
? Lead efforts to establish supplier agreements with existing and new Key Manufacturing Partners
(KMPs). Work with BTG Procurement Team to assure compliance to BTG requirements and
? Utilize Capacity Planning Processes (CPPs) and Risk Mitigation Techniques (RMTs) to ensure the
supply chain is able to secure long lead time materials and test/production equipment required to
meet the company?s growth plans.
? Optimize forecasting and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) process which includes establishing
desired Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) targets to optimize customer satisfaction vs. inventory
carrying costs and Expiration & Obsolescence (E&O) exposure. ? Drive continuous improvement programs which: improve yield, reduce cost, enhance
quality/reliability, reduce lead times, increase flexibility, improve on-time delivery accuracy, and
enhance customer satisfaction.
? Manage utilization and maintenance of ERP system to support the business. Participate as ?super
user? on software integration project teams, as appropriate, i.e., Customer Resource Management
(CRM) and electronic Document Control system implementations.
? Support R&D teams with procurement activities (supplier selection, price and contract negotiations,
and materials delivery optimization). Support transfer of responsibility to Operations, as
? Support Finance with cost accounting items such as: BOMs, standard costs, and rolling new
standards, as needed
? Bachelor?s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
? 10 years minimum experience in Operations, Procurement or Supply Chain Management with
minimum 5 years direct supervision experience. Medical device manufacturing experience
? Knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485 and MDD requirements as applicable to this position
? APICS Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma experience highly preferred
? Exceptional leadership skills with a hands-on, team oriented approach
? Excellent verbal and written skills, proficient user of MS/ Office programs
? Experience creating and managing departmental budgets in excess of $5M
? Proven track record of multi-disciplinary project management success
? Sound problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment
? Experience working in different size companies ranging from start-up to medium/large businesses
? Capable of fluidly scaling between hands-on/detail oriented support and highly strategic roles
? Experience using a mid-level ERP system; new system implementation preferred
? Proven supplier development, negotiation and interface experience
? Ability to travel up to 30% time, 10% internationally
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
? Hire and manage departmental staff necessary to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Includes
assigning duties and providing training, i.e., ERP system training, as needed. Perform annual
? Review and approve document change requests and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to
determine appropriate effectivity and disposition.
