Responsible for developing and maintaining the Production Plan and coordinating tactical execution of supply chain fulfillment plans to meet demand requirements of both domestic and international customers. Monitors and updates demand forecast, develops and controls production plans, and maintains appropriate levels of FG, WIP & RM supply to optimize service, value and cost objectives. Participates in new item introductions and phase-in/phase-outs of obsolete inventory. Interfaces heavily with internal organization as well as suppliers and customers to optimize supply chain plans and interfaces.Directly plan, implement, lead and manage all aspects of production planning for both Set Builds and Replenishment process. Interface heavily with internal and external representatives to understand constraints, set priorities, and contribute to realistic schedules that optimize service, cost and reliability with a goal to maximize order fulfillment.
Lead the execution of DRP Process and participate in the monthly Forecasting process for assigned product lines and perform necessary data management and analysis. Interact with Product Management to ensure Forecasts are accurately calculated and identify variances where applicable.
Maintain and update Planning and Procurement parameters into JD Edwards ERP System to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained. Recommend changes where necessary to reduce costs impact on the organization.
Lead execution of supply chain projects to include phase-in/phase-out of components, new product launch builds, promotional program builds, inventory swap out plans, etc. also develop plans that prevent, minimize or effectively disposition slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Liaison with Procurement, Product Management and Sales Support to develop and maintain appropriate policies and practices to optimize FG, RM & WIP levels to meet service, value and cost objectives.
Monitor demand forecast and update based on actual sales, promotional plans and/or set build projections. Highlight significant events and variances for Sales & Operations Planning process. Also identify short and mid range capacity constraints and assist in developing alternative plans to minimize impact on order fulfillment.
Create and Analyze Inventory Reports to ensure continuity of supply and focus on Inventory Levels and reduce number of shortages and expedite request. Also lead the process to develop Set Utilization Reports.
Set priority for open which need to be expedited by Procurement and Quality Control on an as needed basis and manage the flow of product through the facility.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; MBA preferred, and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning and Database Systems.
Proficient in using MS Excel and MS Access
