To help us achieve our strategic business goals, we are currently looking for a Support Engineer (L2) to join our organisation.
With a global presence and a proven success rate of delivering technology solutions to support our client?s business, we need to employ top talent to support our key business functions. We rely on our great team of expert Support Engineers to assist in providing Information Technology services to Dimension Data clients ensuring that their infrastructure and systems remain operational.
As a Support Engineer at Dimension Data, you will be responsible for the deployment, installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, and reporting for Network infrastructure and related Cloud services. You will work closely with cross functional teams for the deployment and ongoing support of Cloud service to both internal stakeholders and clients.
What we will expect you to do:
In this capacity we will need you to deliver on the following:
We will rely on you to meet all service level agreement conditions.
You will use your experience in support engineering and focus on second line support for medium complexity incidents.
We will rely on you to deploy and provide ongoing support of Cloud network infrastructure
You will need to develop and. implement maintenance plans and activities for Cloud infrastructure: Applying fixes, security patches and upgrades, capacity increases and other Cloud related maintenance.
We will rely on you to provide continuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by Dimension Data procedures.
You will be required to diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis for hardware and network related issues.

Qualifications
Here?s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Key requirements:
Experience as a Support Engineer - let's say about 6 years, of which at least 4 years must be in a related industry.
Highly experienced in Cisco WAN/LAN routing and switching.
Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and Cisco UCS
Experience managing, supporting and architecting large complex Cisco network solutions.
MCSE would be advantageous.
Key abilities required:
Able to effectively communicate with clients, team members and management alike.
Able to balance delivery with agreed and contracted expectations.
Able to work with large volumes of detail.
