Sustaining Engineer AccuRev
DescriptionWe are looking for a talented, motivated, and customer-focused Sustaining Engineer to join the growing AccuRev engineering team and help support our customers who are implementing and using AccuRev's award-winning SCM software product suite. Responsibilities
Provide software defect fixes for generally available releases while merging with latest streams
Use strong troubleshooting and deductive capabilities to isolate and repair code on demand
Provide 3rd level debugging and instrumentation capabilities to Technical Support Engineers
Organize and work in Agile processes with existing product backlog of sustaining/maintenance issues
Work closely with QA and Release Engineering on patch and beta release strategies
Involvement in helping build and test new/customized capabilities as situations arise
Requirements
Proficiency in C++, amd/or JAVA UI's (preferably Swing and GWT) other programming/scripting languages,RDBMS technologies are a plus
BSCS (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or equivalent
Experience using Software Configuration Management products such as AccuRev, ClearCase, CM/Synergy, CVS, Visual SourceSafe, Dimensions a definite plus.
Ability to understand and work with existing business logic
Ability to think abstractly and solve complex problems
Strong desire to work in a team and have fun at work
Strong attention to detail and excellent, surgical debugging skills
Experience in and enthusiasm for sustaining and maintenance engineering
Strong Customer Focus and Advocacy
Excellent follow-through skills
Highly Desired
Working knowledge of software development and software build processes/tools.
Experience with various scripting languages including Perl, UNIX shell scripts and Windows batch files.
