Kapost is the leading provider of Content Marketing software. As marketers move from pushing product messages at Buyers to pulling Buyers in through informative, entertaining content, Kapost enables marketers to succeed as ?publishers? through its software that manages the content marketing process end-to-end.
Kapost currently serves mid-market to enterprise marketers, including such customers as Intel, AT&T, Oracle, Verizon, and Allstate. We have deep partnerships with marketing automation vendors Eloqua and Marketo and currently focus on B2B marketers.
Kapost has grown MRR 150% from Dec ?12 to June ?12 and has recently closed a $5.5M new round of funding.
Kapost is looking for a Senior Vice President of Marketing. Historically Kapost has generated nearly 100% of its revenue from inbound leads (Kapost itself is a strong practitioner of content marketing). While Kapost may develop an outbound Sales function, a content-powered, inbound operation will always be a main driver of growth, and Kapost sees Marketing as the owner of the top of the funnel and an equal partner in the revenue operation with Sales. The SVP of Marketing will be responsible for delivering on the company?s qualified lead targets.
The SVP of Marketing will be a great leader, attracting, training, managing and inspiring a high-performing Marketing team. The SVP of Marketing will be an articulate voice for Kapost?s value proposition and a thought leader for content marketing in general, appearing as a speaker at Kapost and industry events. The SVP of Marketing will be a great operator in constructing and managing the Kapost Marketing machine. The SVP of Marketing will be an enthusiastic team player and an asset to Kapost?s supportive, positive culture. The SVP of Marketing will embrace being part of a start-up and the challenges and rewards that offers. The SVP of marketing will have a passion for modern marketing, particularly content marketing, and will relish the chance to spread its gospel to other marketers.
Historically Kapost has relied on inbound marketing generated through digital content assets, in-person events (both self-hosted and sponsored), and lead nurturing / marketing automation. To meet the company?s growth targets the SVP of Marketing will lead an expansion into a true multi-channel operation employing extensive financial analysis to optimize spending and return.
Thought leadership content about content marketing has been a hallmark of Kapost?s history and a critical component going forward. The SVP of Marketing will oversee the conception and execution of fresh, ground-breaking, creative content campaigns and assets that instruct and inspire marketers on how to best leverage content for their companies.
The SVP of Marketing will run all aspects of the Marketing operation, including recruiting, training, demand generation, analysis & reporting, creative & content development, events, marketing automation, etc.
The position will be compensated through a competitive package including salary, commission, options and relevant moving expenses.
This position reports to the CEO. Kapost is based in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, and we have a strong preference for the position to be located in Boulder.
Min. 12 Years experience as a B2B Marketing Executive
Preference for experience in Technology, Software as a Service, Sales and Marketing Software
Min. 5 years experience as a Marketing Team Manager including recruiting and training
A strong track record of excellent performance and consistent delivery of demand generation results
