SVP of New Program Implementation 2U, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The SVP of New Program Implementation will report to the COO and act as interim General Manager (GM) for multiple new programs, likely simultaneously, prior to contract signing and post signing until a GM is identified. Must be highly organized and have the ability to manage existing internal resources prior to dedicated staff being hired for the new program(s). Proven ability to successfully manage politics and effectively communicate positively within the organization.
Responsibilities will include:
As part of the sales process, work with University Relations to begin the relationship building and partner education process.
Using matrix resources, ensure school faculty is bought in, and university stakeholders (generally in Admissions, Registrar?s Office, Financial Aid and Technology) understand the commitments need to be made by the university.
Align school partner operational assumptions around course build schedule, course offering sequencing, section size, faculty staffing model, etc.
Confirm stakeholders understand all university specific procedural hurdles pre/post signature to fully close and launch the program.
Prepare the initial budget for the program.
As the sale process progresses, ensure implementation is at a pace necessary to hit planned launch dates.
Post close, lead the implementation process, including beginning hiring process for other internal roles, until GM is appointed.
Throughout the implementation process, make the correct internal efforts with functional areas of the business, (inclusive of in Curriculum, Marketing, Technology, Registrar, State Approvals) to ensure they are hitting their targets, are in line with overall launch plan and are communicating cross functionally.
Travel to other 2U offices and university partner campuses.
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s preferred.
10-12 years of experience managing clients/partnerships.
Demonstrated project management experience in a service oriented industry.
Demonstrated expertise in an entrepreneurial environment or launching new business venture.
Success in achieving and exceeding goals in a matrix environment.
Previous experience in Higher Ed industry preferred.
