Kapost is the leading provider of Content Marketing software. As marketers move from pushing product messages at Buyers to pulling Buyers in through informative, entertaining content, Kapost enables marketers to succeed as ?publishers? through its software that manages the content marketing process end-to-end.
Kapost currently serves mid-market to enterprise marketers, including such customers as Intel, AT&T, Oracle, Verizon, and Allstate. We have deep partnerships with marketing automation vendors Eloqua and Marketo and currently focus on B2B marketers.
Kapost has grown MRR 150% from Dec ?12 to June ?12 and has recently closed a $5.5M new round of funding.
Kapost is looking for a Senior Vice President of Sales to run company-wide Sales. This person will be responsible for achieving the Company?s revenue growth targets.
Historically Kapost has generated nearly 100% of its revenue from inbound leads (Kapost itself is a strong practitioner of content marketing). While Kapost will continue to perform inbound marketing, it is expected that the SVP will develop a new outbound function. Also Kapost has a large upsell opportunity from existing accounts and the SVP will build an Account Management function.
The SVP of Sales will be a great leader, attracting, training, managing and inspiring a high-performing Sales team. The SVP of Sales will be an articulate voice for Kapost?s value proposition and a thought leader for content marketing in general. The SVP of Sales will be a great operator in constructing and managing the Kapost Sales machine. The SVP of Sales will be an enthusiastic team player and an asset to Kapost?s supportive, positive culture. The SVP of Sales will embrace being part of a start-up and the challenges and rewards that offers.
The SVP of Sales will run all aspects of the Sales operation, including recruiting, training, development of sales plays, compensation, pricing, forecasting, funnel management and closing.
The position will be compensated through a competitive package including salary, commission, options and relevant moving expenses.
This position reports to the CEO. Kapost is based in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, and we have a strong preference for the position to be located in Boulder.
> 10 Years experience as a Technology Sales Executive
Preference for experience in Software as a Service, Sales and Marketing Software
> 5 years experience as a Sales Team Leader including recruiting, training and management
A strong track record of excellent performance and consistent delivery of revenue results
