Summary:The System Administrator provides comprehensive server, database, and web-based enterprise applications and is responsible for the delivery of services in line with the defined availability and performances standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in projects:
Support and maintenance for all applications configurations, reporting requirements and data imports/exports
Implementation and migration of upgrades, patches, code releases, and database changes
Prioritize and manage service issues
Troubleshooting
Provide expert technical support
Deployment and Implementation support
On-call support after business hours
Education/Qualification/Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of data center support practices and data center change management policies
Extensive knowledge of networking technologies with the ability to diagnose networking/systems related problems
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience creating and/or updating standard operating procedures and other documents as required
Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate and work successfully in a team environment
RHCE/MCSE certification a plus
3+ years experience in technical support with enterprise Windows/Linux servers
3+ years experience with SQL administration/maintenance
3+ years of system virtualization/Vmware experience
3+ years in scripting including Pearl, Ruby, Python, or PHP
Skills:
MSSQL
Database Administration
Replication, Clustering, Index management, Monitoring
Familiar with TSQL, Stored Procedures, Optimization, Execution Plans, etc.
Reporting Services
Linux based Operating systems
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of or familiarity with any of the following is a plus
F5, Citrix load balancers
AWS administration
