Job Summary
The Systems Administrator will provide hardware, software and basic network support for a Microsoft Windows environment using HP and Cisco hardware. This position includes but is not limited to hardware installation and maintenance, OS installation and maintenance, nightly and weekly backups, support of a VOIP phone system, and basic network security. The Systems Administrator will participate on a team that provides desktop support for 85 internal users and on-call support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and troubleshoot all enterprise, development, system integration testing, quality assurance and production environments, both internally and at remote datacenters
Provide Tier II technical support both internally and externally
Maintain patch management and antivirus definitions across all environments
Support internal Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN tunnels
Support VMware 4.1 ESXi servers and blade servers
Manage scheduled backups
Support a VOIP phone system
Administer an Exchange 2007 email environment
Maintain ongoing documentation initiative of software, hardware and networking environments
Participate in off-hours support as needed
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
BS/BA degree required
5 - 7 years experience as a Systems Administrator in a Windows environment
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 server and Microsoft SQL server 2005/2008
Experience with Cisco firewalls, switches and unified communications
Experience with WiFi and 3G/4G wireless technologies
Experience with HP SAN and NAS
Experience with VMware
Experience with highly automated system administration tools a plus
Healthcare security experience a plus
MCSE, CCNA a plus
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to lift 50 pounds
