We are currently seeking a System Administrator - Oracle
Job Summary:
Responsible for administering Enterprise applications including but not limited to, Incident and Change Management, user security, instance management for the Oracle ERP applications and related systems (including OBIEE, Hyperion, Agile) in a hosted environment. Responsibilities include efficient operation of the application components and ongoing maintenance and support of the system applications. Primary contact /liaison between DDN IT, Oracle Functional Analysts, the user community and third party service providers/DBA?s.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
?Manage L2 open issues and coordinate application change requests; escalate issues to appropriate parties for resolution or develops plans to mitigate risks identified; support end-user Oracle client installations and configurations.
?Provide daily management and support of Oracle applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite.
?Setting system profiles at the user, site and operating unit level.
?Automate recurring administrative processes.
?Test and monitor workflow processes.
?Monitor concurrent processes.
?Manage third party team to implement application patching, upgrades, performance, and resolve any cross functional issues.
?Assist in the implementation and support of custom application interfaces, reports and customer procedures.
?Create user roles, responsibilities and printers.
?Register Code and maintain code library, forms, functions, executables, and concurrent programs.
?Coordinate schedule for system maintenance, availability and communications.
?Open and coordinate service requests with Oracle Support.
?Gather user requirements for customizations and reports for bugs found within existing functionality.
?Coordinate and support end users and project managers with the desktop environment, with emphasis on customer communications.
?Submit development requests for production bugs.
?Administer and maintain security and access privileges for End User Layers and Business Areas.
?Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this role are:
?Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Processing, or related field.
?Three (3) years? experience related to computer application support; information management, Oracle E-Business suite administration and Oracle database administration.
?Valid driver?s license.
?Experience with Oracle Application Server and Weblogic.
?Experience with Oracle application tools (e.g. Workflows, Forms Designer, Reports, Discoverer, etc.).
?Experience with or exposure to Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
?Experience with Oracle SSO (single Sign-on) including managing the integration between AD and OID to eBusiness to ensure complete user setup; troubleshooting and correcting any issues within OID, ODSM and eBusiness; and documenting and recommending improvements in the SSO user provisioning process.
?Exposure to OBIEE platform.
?Exposure to Agile PLM platform.
?Ability to understand and apply the basic nature and methods of investigation.
?Ability to demonstrate excellent understanding of Oracle ERP application's architecture, data structures, and functionality.
?Proficient in Oracle Application System Administration-Setup and maintenance of user and group security.
?Creation of Oracle administrative controls such as custom responsibilities, request groups, menus, concurrent managers, flexfields, profile options, and printer definitions to extend Oracle functionality.
?Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
?Research various sources such as Oracle documentation and Oracle Support to identify and resolve issues.
?Knowledge of Oracle SQL Plus and PL/SQL.
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
?Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
?Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
?Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
