Some Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure critical systems are maintained and serviced properly in order to maximize performance and uptime.
Ensure all networks and systems are properly monitored 24x7x365.
Employ industry best practices when making changes to the environment.
Create and maintain documentation of the network, systems, assets, etc.
Work closely with the engineering teams to ensure the network and systems can support our software products and customer demands.
Provide the engineering teams with systems, network and application support for issues that arise during the product development cycle.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
Skills/Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience; 5 plus years of demonstrated Systems experience; emphasis towards production support of a high capacity mission-critical web serving environment.
Ability to evaluate changes and understand the impact on the overall network and systems.
Experience working with collocated equipment in a datacenter environment.
Solid background with Microsoft technologies - Win2000, Win2003, Win2008, IIS 5.0/6.0/7.0 and Active Directory.
Solid background with RedHat/CentOS Linux.
Solid background with mass storage devices, both NAS/SAN - NetApp, Hitachi and/or EMC.
Working knowledge of F5 load balancing products.
Database admin skills - MS SQL, Oracle and MySQL a huge plus.
Ability to respond quickly to critical problems.
Previous experience at a software development company.
Experience with various backup technologies and methodologies.
Must have a strong commitment to IT as a service organization for the entire company.

Strong communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently.
A dedication to customer satisfaction.
Past experience working in a startup environment.
