BTI has immediate openings within their Littleton Team for experienced System Verification Engineers who will work as part of a team developing leading edge, innovative solutions for content service providers. In this role you will provide system and product verification to support on-going development efforts of packet based optical products.Responsibilities will include system verification testing of BTI's next generation cloud-connect system including:
Creation of test-plans;
Development, execution & debugging of automation suites;
Recording of test results, root cause isolation & generation of bug reports;
Interaction with customers for demos, use-case validation & qualification;
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science coupled with 3+ years of experience in testing routing or carrier Ethernet products; OR 3+ years of relevant experience;
Experience with one of Ixia, Spirent or Agilent test equipment is a plus;
Excellent understanding of MPLS protocol suite, SNMP, Netconf, and Carrier Ethernet standards 802.1ad and 802.1ag a plus;
Networking experience (layer 1-3) Carrier Ethernet and other layer 2 protocols
Good knowledge of automation methodologies for testing;
Experience with automation scripting in TCL/Perl/Python or equivalent is a must;
Good understanding of software development cycles;
Some knowledge of optical networking concepts;
Excellent communications skills - verbal and written;
Personal drive to succeed;
Strong organizational skills;
Ability to deliver on given responsibilities;
Team oriented working habits;
Enthusiastic and self-motivated;
Able to work independently and creatively when blocked.
