We are seeking an IT Professional that is ready and willing to become a critical player within our IT team. . The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, and be able to manage the administrator tasks as well as help desk responsibilities. They must possess an eagerness to learn, a love for technical challenges, and a desire to understand how and why things work the way they do. The candidate must be able to work both independently, and within the team.
?Assist with the day-to-day administration of Windows Servers (apply updates/patches, schedule maintenance, manage security software, etc.). WSUS and Forefront experience a plus.
?Administration of accounts and privileges in Active Directory including Exchange 2010.
?Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows Server (primarily 2008/2012).
?Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user computing environment including, but not limited to Windows 7/8, Office 2010/2013, Forefront Endpoint Protection.
?Assist in the backup and recovery of server environments as necessary. BackupExec experience a plus.
?Troubleshoot remote user connectivity issues (VPN, Remote Desktop, etc.). Must excel at supporting remote users.
?Create and maintain standard laptop/desktop images using Symantec Ghost.
?Identify and document reoccurring issues and present solutions to management.
?Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation.
?Answer, evaluate, log, and prioritize all helpdesk requests in helpdesk ticketing system.
?Resolve helpdesk tickets or escalate complex issues to appropriate team members.
?Will be responsible for all onsite technology needs to include, but not limited to, telephone systems, printers, copiers, fax, projectors, conference rooms, etc.
?Other tasks/projects as assigned by IT Manager.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field desired, but will consider candidates with equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Systems Administration.
Experience with any or all of the following a plus:
?Virtualization technology (VMware experience preferred)
?Mac OS X
?Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, Ubuntu)
?Systems Center Configuration Manager
?Excellent communications skills are a necessity. You must feel comfortable supporting Senior Management, interacting with end users via phone and email, and sharing ideas with the rest of the IT team.
?Must be a good listener and able to follow direction. This position will be the remote hands for senior team members.
?Must possess working knowledge of DHCP/DNS, VPN, basic networking, and shared storage.
?Must be able to assist/teach/mentor junior team members.
?Must be detail oriented and able to document procedures.
?Must be a self-motivated individual.
?Good time management skills are required.
?Must be willing to work occasional odd hours and weekend as required.
?Minimal travel is required.
