Systems Administrator Desktone
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Systems Administrator will support a Microsoft-centric VDI computing environment consisting of Windows 2003/2008 servers with an emphasis on Active Directory, VMWare, and server and storage hardware. This position will report to the VP of Operations.
Conduct routine scheduled preventative maintenance on hardware.
Server level software installation, maintenance and upgrading.
Research and troubleshoot problems.
Routine systems administration and maintenance to support an Active Directory environment.
Provide timely and effective support for servers and infrastructure during business hours as well as after-hours, as needed.
Configure and tune the operating system and server software and produce relevant systems documentation for related processes
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response.
Support Exchange 2007 Server on Windows Server 2008 with Microsoft UC.
Support problems with Outlook 2007/2010 on Windows XP/7.
Support and manage the Blackberry Enterprise server to ensure continuous operation of email routing to Blackberry devices.
Manage existing Exchange and Active Directory.
Act as help desk for end users who use Windows 7 laptops, and Virtual Desktops, as well as Mac users.
Perform monthly scheduled maintenance on MS Windows infrastructure.
Manage corporate anti-virus, backups, group policies and print servers.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelor's degree required.
3-6 years of experience in Exchange server administration. An MCSE certification is highly desirable.
5+ years of experience working in a professional environment.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 implementation and support knowledge, Citrix, HP Proliant Servers, and backup solutions.
Must possess above average analytic abilities along with a strong technical aptitude.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and work well with others.
Must be self motivated, a fast learner, dedicated to producing quality work and bringing assigned tasks and projects to completion.
Ongoing interest in personal and professional career development.
Strong technical experience working with Windows server computer systems, local area networks, Microsoft Windows Server, and Exchange 2007.
Linux administration skills.
Basic networking skills.
Experience with Dell and HP servers.
Working knowledge of VMWare hypervisor.
Experience working with NAS devices.
Solid organizational, communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize workload effectively, and work independently with little supervision.
Ability to work in a diverse, sometimes rapidly changing environment.
Ability to provide on-call and off hours support.
