The Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer role adds a new dimension to the Systems Administrator role. This role focuses on automation and tools development in order to provide scalable service to our production infrastructure and large engineering department. Our tools will enable efficient deployment and management of infrastructure to support our growing needs.Your software development skills and real production support experience will help you develop tools that are both effective and easy to manage.
Requirements:
? 2 Years experience supporting a high-traffic production web based service
? Strong Systems Administration skill set in a linux-based environment
? Practical scripting language experience (bash, perl, python, etc)
? Practical Object-oriented Programming experience (github repo welcome)
? Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
? Appreciation for fast-paced startup-style environments and tight deadlines
? Quick Study ? pick up new concepts in a rapidly growing and evolving business
Other Desirable Attributes:
? Computer Science background or training (OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms)
? Experience with Private or Public Cloud infrastructure
? Participation in Open Source tools development, especially in the DevOps space
? Fluency in Japanese
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Strong time management skills?the ability to balance high quality work standards against time constraints
