The primary role of the System Administrator I is to support all aspects of the M2S business lines as it pertains to information technology. The Systems Administrator I is a key member of the corporate IT operations staff with responsibility for the proper functioning of all IT components including the company?s corporate office and support of remote employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Perform data backups, monitoring, encryption and disaster recovery operations.
Perform vendor updates, monitor support contracts and renewals
Build Servers and desk tops including Windows XP, 7 , OSX, and Linux in physical and virtual (VMware) environments, application loading and configuration.
Recommend changes to improve/expand infrastructure, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Provide Laptop/Desktop support to employees for troubleshooting and fixing user issues as required.
Occasional 24x7 on call availability to quickly respond to IT issues as they arise
MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and LDAP in large-scale production deployments is important.
Strong organization, troubleshooting and monitoring skills,
A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
Windows System Administration experience.
Linux Administration experience (Ideally Red Hat)
Good networking fundamentals, including IP subnetting and VLAN.routing.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of team
Ability to multitask and triage in a fast-paced environment
Bachelors Degree of relevance or equivalent work experience.
Microsoft Office, Backup Exec 2012, Veeam,
Experience in IT support in a regulated environment (HIPAA, ISO, HITECH, etc)
Exposure to web and database intensive applications and database support (Oracle, Postgres, MS SQL Server, Mongo, etc.)
Experience with the following: Microsoft Exchange, Enterprise Vault, Osirix; MS Powershell, Encryption technologies
Knowledge of mobile device support for IOS and Android platforms
Cisco IOS, IPS and ASA w/ VPN a plus
