This position is based in Exton, Pennsylvania or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
iPipeline is in the process of implementing MuleSoft and RabbitMQ within our enterprise. The Enterprise Automation Group is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to be trained on MuleSoft and RabbitMQ. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administration, support and on-going maintenance of enterprise level systems.? This includes installing, configuring, testing, upgrading and patching enterprise applications. The Systems Administrator must be able to partner with internal customers to understand business needs and discover solutions that lead to more effective business operations.? The Systems Administrator will also integrate corporate change management processes into pending and planned work to ensure general awareness of system changes and application of best practices and corporate policy.
Using strong analytical and technical skills, the Systems Administrator will analyze issues escalated from end users of our systems and work with internal technical teams to identify sources of technical faults to work toward a resolution. Some other key responsibilities include:
Monitor MuleSoft/RabbitMQ for health
Manage/maintain MuleSoft/RabbitMQ resources (hardware, O/S & prerequisite software)
Capacity planning for MuleSoft/RabbitMQ
Backup & recovery MuleSoft/RabbitMQ
Deploying projects to MuleSoft/RabbitMQ servers
Running Mule and deploying applications from the command line
Working with the Mule Management Console to deploy applications and monitor the server
Defining alerts that can send notifications in case of error conditions
Using properties to configure environment elements like server names and credentials
The REST API to manage Mule Servers
Identifies and designs solutions, based on best practices, that improve system operations
Plans and coordinates change management
Works as part of a team toward improvements and upgrades to systems through application of best practices and corporate policy
Prioritizes multiple tasks based on project, urgency, etc.
Manages own work to meet schedules and communicates regularly on progress
Exudes a commitment to quality
Other duties and projects as assigned
The Systems Administrator will have a Bachelor?s Degree in business or technology and 2-3 years of experience in a systems administration information technology role. An example of prior experience is a candidate with enterprise application systems administration experience in an information technology role, who is technically astute, and ready to move into a more technically-demanding role.
Experience in enterprise system administration, migration and performance tuning
Experience documenting system architecture including narratives and block diagrams of systems infrastructure
Experience in installing, configuring, administering, supporting and maintaining enterprise level applications
Experience upgrading enterprise level applications
Ability to work with business users to identify needs and apply or propose appropriate technical solutions
Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to elicit, define and document business requirements
Effective time management, planning and organizational skills
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills in a fast-paced technical environment
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time while maintaining quality and attention to detail
