You are tired of being the anonymous ?IT Guy? stuck in a dark corner. (No one there even remotely understands what you do. Sigh.) You want to be part of something that changes the way people work; where people acknowledge and prize what you do on a regular basis; where your passion for working more effectively is not only put to use but encouraged, rewarded, celebrated!
Nitro is changing the way millions of people work ? over 5 million monthly active users. Our no bullshit culture means you have direct access to the CEO and the right, no - obligation, to tell it like it is at all times. We have been profitable since day one and hit every one of our sales forecasts since we started 7 years ago; 2012 will be no exception. And we are forecasting even greater things beyond.

We are looking for a SysAdmin whose main role will be to ensure that our Melbourne office functions like clockwork from a desktop and systems perspective. Your job will include everything from the most basic desktop support to configuring and troubleshooting video conferencing and telephony equipment to setting up helping monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot our production and application servers. If you?re doing your job well, you?ll have very little to do on the desktop side (because you set everything up to run so smoothly) and will play a key role helping us get the latest and greatest technologies ramped up on the server and system side.
You?re a natural problem solver with expert knowledge of the Windows 7 and OS X desktop environments, as well as TCP/IP networking at the branch office level. You?ll also have at least intermediate knowledge of the Server 2008/Linux server environments. You know your way around Active Directory and Exchange well enough to perform basic troubleshooting and care and feeding and you?re comfortable conducting training and IT systems documentation for laypeople. Bonus points if you know MS Lync, Apache, PostgreSQL, how to write VB/powershell scripts and/or how to do work in Windows core installations. And bonus bonus points for experience troubleshooting geographically remote staff members.
