About the Team
We are a small and enthusiastic IT team who are responsible for supporting the business by providing any infrastructure required to meet companywide goals. IT works closely with all departments at GreatCall.
About the Job
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical support for our backup infrastructure and SAN environment. This position will also work with other members of the IT team on projects supporting Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory 2003/2008, and other Microsoft applications such as Exchange 2010, SQL 2005/2008/2012, IIS, SharePoint, and Office 2007/2010 Applications.
Configure and support multi-site data backup implementation
Perform data restorations for servers, iSCSI SAN, databases and email/messaging systems upon customer request
Support multi-site Windows Active Directory 2003/2008
Support Microsoft Exchange 2010 infrastructure
Routinely check event logs on all servers and investigate errors as necessary
Troubleshoot hardware and software-related issues and server hardware and software configuration, installation and maintenance
Education: Bachelor?s Degree or 5 years equivalent experience in a systems administration role
2+ years of hand-on experience on backup administration, preferably with Backup Exec
5+ years of Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory experience
5+ Knowledge with Windows XP, Vista or Windows7
In dept understanding of High Availability, Backup and Disaster Recovery
Working knowledge of Tape Drive technologies
Knowledge of iSCSI SANs
Experience with enterprise level class server hardware such as HP
Experience with patch management and 3rd party application deployment.
Fluency with Active Directory 2003/2008 design and administration ? FSMO, DNS, DFS, LDAP, DHCP, and Group Policies
MS SQL administration experience
Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, SMTP, sFTP, VPN, VLANs, and wireless
Experience with supporting Microsoft Exchange
Willing to carry a phone 24x7 and respond to emergency calls off hours
Education: Microsoft certifications or related training
Ability to work in multi-site scenarios and locations including datacenter environment
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
Demonstrate analytical ability to use data and information to formulate strategic insight, determine implications, and recommend various courses of action
Experience using scripting languages such as VBScript and PowerShell
Strong leadership skills, and accustomed to managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to manage time efficiently and work with minimal supervision
Ability to assess and respond pragmatically and creatively to business, consumer, and technology trends
