Summary of Functions:
Due to continued growth we are seeking a Systems Analyst/Business Analyst for our facility in the Fairburn, GA community
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Sr. Systems Analyst/Business Analyst supports the customer process for the information systems component of New Breed?s business. Writes specifications for new development and system enhancements, performs integrated quality assurance testing, and supports client relationship management processes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Change / Project Management
Supports project manager for system implementations / upgrades and continued support
Supports implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users, and providing post-implementation support
Client Relationship Management
Supports the IT account manager to address client issues, as required
Analysis
Develops detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements, and user documentation
Performs process and data modeling
Develops reports using an Oracle Database populated by customer systems
Quality Assurance
Performs integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users
Works with end users to perform user acceptance testing on system changes before they are released to the field
Ongoing Support
Provides training to power users in system use
Provides site-support to distribution centers and operations center in system configuration
Provide level 2. support to resolve data-related problems with logistics information systems
Performs all functions in accordance with TSG and New Breed business practices and procedures
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Three to five (3-5) years experience minimum, with systems development and implementation on ERP systems
Experience with formal project management practices
Experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, or distribution
Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies
Understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems, and object oriented design
Planning, client support, communication and organization skills
Associates Degree Required, BS/BA degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate by telephone, e-mail, fax, and written correspondence, and in person, with applicable company personnel, suppliers and customers
Ability to travel (estimated 25% depending on project life cycle)
Ability to work extended hours to achieve business / project objectives
Ability to respond to on call issues outside of scheduled work hours
Motor skills to traverse office areas, shop floors, and warehouses
Ability to operate a computer for long periods of time
