JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary of Functions:
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support our expanding business in the San Antonio, TX area
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The primary function of the Systems Analysis is to support the information systems component of New Breed?s business. In addition, activities include writing specifications for new development and system enhancements, performing integrated quality assurance testing, configuring systems, providing technical resources to New Breed Operations, and supporting client relationship management processes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in the design process with business analysts, members of the application development team and end users of the system
Responsible for writing detailed design specification documentation
Serves as liaison between the New Breed operations and corporate technology services group
Supports New Breed operations in providing custom queries and system enhancement designs in support of supply chain processes
Participates in every step of the product development life cycle from design through testing and release
Understands system intricacies from user interface functions and background processes to supporting database
Provides ?level 2" support to resolve production systems-related issues; includes periodic 24x7 on-call support as required by team?s scheduled rotation
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two (2) years experience with system design, development, testing and implementation
Experience with systems development methodologies
Experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, or distribution
Experience and understanding of component based software, Internet technologies, client/server architectures, relational databases, test methodologies
Experience in writing database queries using SQL
Good communication and organizational skills. Must be able interact well with others and work well in a team environment
Experience with software development projects
BS/BA degree required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate by telephone, e-mail, fax, and written correspondence, and in person, with applicable company personnel, suppliers and customers
Ability to travel
Ability to work extended hours to achieve business / project objectives
Ability to respond to ?on call" issues outside of scheduled work hours
