Freescale has a number of opportunities for Systems/Applications Engineers. In these roles you will provide technical support to customers to facilitate the smooth integration of Freescale products. This involves working directly with both customers and Freescale?s internal design teams to optimize Freescale?s current products for specific customer applications. This role includes creating evaluation/demonstration hardware and software, writing documentation and training materials, solving customer systems and circuit design issues, and responding to questions from customers, field applications engineers and our sales and marketing teams. The successful applicant will work with product engineering and marketing teams to enable the successful launch of new products. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to driving new technology development within the group to align future products with our customer?s needs and expectations. This requires setting design target specifications and working with the new product introduction teams to ensure all device performance requirements are clearly understood and the new products will meet the system specifications of key customers.
Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science Engineering, with a GPA of 3.25 or above
Programming skills in C/C++
Embedded software programming skills
Experience writing device drivers is a plus
Knowledge of fundamental OS concepts
Understanding of or experience with IC Design
Technical communication skills, oral and written
Lab skills with debug tools, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc is a plus
