Systems Architect NextIO
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:As the Systems Architect at NextIO, you will be responsible for the top level architecture for all products and technology developed and sold by NextIO. This includes silicon, software and system-level products. In this role, you will guide the IC, System and Software teams to create a cohesive architecture and technical strategy to meet the needs of the market with the guidance of Product Marketing. The ideal candidate has a strong background in silicon, system and software architecture.
FOCUS AREAS:
- Create and maintain system architecture specs
- Evangelize and drive product and technology architecture throughout the company
- Work closely with Product Marketing and engineering to transform market requirements into technical requirements and build the architecture to support them over time
- Represent NextIO in the PCI SIG and other standards bodies
- Actively participate in partner and customer engagements
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Personal communication skills necessary to lead by influence and collaboration
- Track record of successfully leading Designers and Architects to build successful products
- Direct experience in software development and hardware design
- Experience in architect roles for both hardware and software
- Experience in system-level products with both HW and SW content
- Startup experience desired
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
- 15 years of experience as a developer and/or architect in a product development organization
