We provide the foundation for the camera work done at Pelican. Our work spans sensor architecture, device test development and characterization, RTL/FPGA design, partner relationships, materials and process logistics, lab operations and the rest of the glue that enables a productive and efficient engineering effort.
Systems Design Engineer
Pelican Imaging is looking for a Systems Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of Pelican Imaging's next generation evaluation hardware platform for our cutting edge Array Camera technology. You will be responsible for system design and development activities at Pelican Imaging with contributions to the full spectrum of disciplines of hardware, software, firmware and mechanical design. In addition to Pelican Imaging's evaluation and development systems, you will interact with our manufacturing partners to assist and guide in the manufacturing of Pelican Imaging Array Cameras. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of test environments and methodologies for component compliance to Pelican Imaging's technology involving opto-electrical characteristic performance analysis.
-- Hardware design, development, procurement and bring-up activities
-- Technical leadership/directing of 3rd party vendors and service providers
-- Process/test development for system & component evaluation
-- Specifying/Documenting requirements, implementation plans and results
-- Lab functionality/capability development
-- Experience designing and developing hardware systems particularly for imaging applications.
-- Experience with high volume, mass production of component devices such as cell phone camera modules.
-- Experience managing suppliers and contractors.
-- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on specification writing, development planning and results
-- Familiarity working within ISO9000 and ISO13485 standards a plus.
-- Skilled in Verilog, C/C++/C#, Matlab, Excel, Word, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Imatest, cameras, image
sensors, PCB design, System design, Architecture, Design of Experiment, Test
-- Bs/Ms in Electrical Engineering or similar with 5+ years of experience.
