We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer - Cloud Content & Rich Media - Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Strong systems engineering candidate to do pre-sales work.
Provide Technical support to DDN Sales Reps and Reseller Partners.
Build technical relationships and trust within DDN?s Cloud Content and Media customer base and reseller channel.
Design solutions and proposals to meet customer defined specifications.
Help customers and channel partners define solution specifications, provide POC.
Provide written reports to management on status and issues with business sector.
Provide training to customers and partners on DDN solutions when required.
Ability to travel.
Additional responsibilities include designing services and product offering in support of building DDNs Services offerings.
New Hire performs Pre-Sales work supporting team as well as Professional Service work as needed.
Identify customer/partner business goals and vision and develop adoption of DDN product portfolio
Assist in closing new business opportunities by gaining a thorough technical and business understanding of clients' needs and helping sales qualify, identify, and close new opportunities.
Understand the DDN markets/ customer/partner sales process and how to utilize company resources to close accounts.
Participate in customer-focused seminars, trade shows, events, and training.
Provide RFP responses, technical drawings, presentations, and recommendations.
Acquire and maintain a thorough technical and procedural understanding of DDN Sales
cycles, products/services and a thorough technical understanding of like industries.
Develop a substantial knowledge of the company's SAN, NAS, Cloud and Professional Services product line.
Develop innovative solutions to customers' business needs.
Installation, POC, Evaluation Qualification status reports.
Creation of Bill of Materials, (BOMS), of proposed customer solutions? for submission to Inside Sales for quoting.
Weekly status report of activities to manager.
Ability to manage customer and partner relationship post-sale, including strategy to close repeat business.
Build and implement professional services solutions around DDN product offerings.
Qualifications for this role are:
Must have great people skills and be a skilled presenter.
Senior-level knowledge of both storage industry and solutions is mandatory.
3-5 years work experience within the storage/file system industry required.
3-5 Years experience in Operating systems debugging Linux and Windows Environments.
RHEL, SUSE, Windows, NFS, CIFS, file system architectures.
Scripting (Shell), C++, Java, Perl is not mandatory but helpful.
Strong knowledge in shared/parallel file system deployment and concepts: SNFS, GPFS.
5-7 years experience in SAN and NAS RAID Appliance is required.
BS or work equivalent in Computer Information Systems.
Knowledge of networking concepts is required; NAS protocol levels (CIFS, NFS, SMB, etc...) and ability to integrate and trouble shoot, specifically the Network and Data link layers as well as Session and Application.
Ability to Multitask and develop innovative solutions that compliment and align with customer requirements. Requires the ability to listen, understand and articulate the customer's needs and how to solve it.

The ability to form strong relationships and trusted advisor to customer?s and partner?s technical staff.
