To help us achieve our strategic business goals, we are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our organisation.
With a global presence and a proven success rate of delivering technology solutions to support our client?s business, we need to employ top talent to support our key business functions. Our Systems Engineers support the business in realising its strategic objectives ensuring continuous availability of IT services within our client environments.
As a Systems Engineer for the CBU, your key function will be to ensure the design and implementation of systems, software and networks by defining complex system requirements, determining system specifications and process and working parameters.
What we will expect you to do:
In this capacity we will need you to deliver on the following:
We need you to advice on the installation, configuration and upgrade of servers in line with policy and system requirements.
You will need to test, install, configure and upgrade new and existing application software to ensure that it performs without fault.
We rely on you to advice on and establish the policy and procedure that govern creation and maintenance of user accounts.
We will need you to ensure that the system hardware and software are compatible and capable of the required performance metrics.
We will rely on you to act as a people manager, ensuring that your team is motivated and has the required tools to perform their jobs.

Qualifications
Here?s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:
Key requirements:
An IT degree.
IP/TCP/MCSE certification.
Up to 6 years relevant experience.
People management and leadership experience.
Key abilities required:
You need to be self-motivated and have superb problem solving ability.
You need to demonstrate attention to detail.
You will need to possess good communication skills (both verbally and written) and employ these skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
You need to be able to successfully lead a team of system administrators.
Non-negotiable for us:
You need to stay current with trends in the Information Technology environment to ensure superb client service.
You are a team player and contribute to the success of the teams within Dimension Data.
