Tasks would include:
Manage and monitor system and network infrastructure and services.
Identify key IT business objectives in order to provide 24/7 support and uptime for enterprise systems.
Maintain and upgrade equipment hardware and software.
Apply operating system updates, patches and configuration changes.
Enterprise Application management and support.
Analyze enterprise services and identify potential issues.
High-level problem troubleshooting and provide level 2 support for escalated incidents.
Supply root cause analysis reports for reported problems.
Provide daily health statistics and updates to management.
Provide granular monthly reports on infrastructure health, performance, capacity, availability and security metrics.
Assist in developing IT policies, including security, availability and disaster recovery.
Assist with the IT change management process to ensure all changes are formally introduced, documented, tested and approved.
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' experience as a systems engineer in large complex environments.
Expert with Windows 2003/2008+ server environments. MCP/MCTIP certifications desired.
Experience with Virtualization/Cloud Computing. Specifically VMware and Hyper-V.
Experience with clustered SQL (2005/2008) environments.
Proficiency with Blade Server technology.
Expert in iSCSI SAN technology. Preferably HP/LeftHand.
Experience with Active Directory, Exchange 2010 and GPO infrastructures design, implementation and support.
Proficient with NOC tools. SCOM and SCCM 2007/2012. SolarWinds and security tools are a plus.
Blackberry (BES) and/or Mobile Device Management skills.
Experience with networking (LAN/WAN) and Cisco equipment. CCNA certification a plus.
Knowledge of VoIP communication systems.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high impact projects simultaneously.
Planning, organizing and attention to detail.
Good communication skills. Will be required to interact with customers, service desk, business analysts and management.
Excellent writing and documentation skills.
Knowledge of the ITIL methodology a plus but not necessary.
