DescriptionIn this newly created role, the Systems Engineer will own day to day support and administration of our IT infrastructure, and will also design and implement major infrastructure improvements to support our growing business. This position requires a solid understanding of the relevant technologies and IT best practices, coupled with the ability to support those who are non-technical. As this is a new position within a growing entrepreneurial company, the Systems Engineer will be charged with developing and documenting the procedures, processes and standards needed to move the organization forward. This position will report to the Director of Technology, and will require occasional travel to our current and planned markets.

Responsibilities
Day to day management of Revolution Foods? infrastructure, including our headquarters and 8+ remote offices.
Work with our managed services provider and other vendors to ensure availability and proper maintenance of on-premise and hosted/SaaS services.
Schedule and perform infrastructure installations, upgrades, and maintenance as needed.
Perform system administration tasks for on-premise systems and hosted services.
Create and maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
Work with the IT Director to design, document and implement policies and procedures (e.g. disaster recovery, security, user onboarding/offboarding).
Work with the IT Director to develop and implement a 5 year IT infrastructure roadmap.
Manage projects related to IT infrastructure and services.
Second level support for service desk.
Requirements
8+ years of IT experience.
Willingness to take ownership of projects and issues, and drive them to completion/resolution.
Understanding of industry best practices related to security and systems management. Exposure to SOX controls and/or ITIL a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Server.
Experience managing VMware infrastructure.
Working knowledge of LAMP environment (CentOS, MySQL).
Hands on experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, troubleshooting). SonicWALL a plus.
Experience implementing or managing infrastructure monitoring applications.
Occasional travel required.
Additional Skills Preferred
ITIL Foundation Certification.
SharePoint administration.
SQL Server administration.
Experience with high availability systems/disaster recovery.
