This is a full time position based in Palo Alto, CA.Were looking for a systems engineer to evolve Mozess operations infrastructure. Site reliability, performance, and automation are the name of the game.
Some of the things you may have worked on:
Written nagios plugins and built dashboards for monitoring reliability and performance metrics
Worked with chef, puppet, CFEngine, or similar tools to handle config management
Tinkered with tools heartbeat, BIND, rpmbuild, and kickstart
Written scripts to automate tasks such as deployment of new nodes
Troubleshooted complex linux and network issues
This is what youll be responsible for:
Architecting, deploying, and maintaining systems for availability, scalability, and performance (including EC2 and other AWS infrastructure)
Implementing tooling and automation of new and existing systems
Designing and managing our configuration management and deployment processes
Building monitoring and alerting systems
Heres what youll bring to the table:
Experience with PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl, shell
Expert UNIX systems administration experience
Networking knowledge such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and load balancers
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
